The Black Crowes are landing at AMT! Chris and Rich Robinson and the gang are hitting the road this summer to bring their trademark brew of rock, blues, country, soul and gospel to AMT's stage for one thrilling night.
Kicking off their career in 1984, the Black Crowes actually began as "Mr. Crowes Garden" in Atlanta, Georgia. Five years later, brothers Chris and Rich set the stage for success by signing with American Recordings and changing the band's name to the Black Crowes. The band's first studio album, Shake Your Money Maker, with hit singles "Hard to Handle" and "She Talks to Angels," received multi-platinum certification and sold over three million copies.
Inspired by the sounds of Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Black Crowes have celebrated nearly two decades of music. Their new double album entitled Before The Frost, Until The Freeze, features the sounds of bluegrass and country-blues. It is slated for release in September 2009.
Opening the show, AMT welcomes the Truth & Salvage Company, a rootsy and psychedelic band from the hills of North Carolina, who just recorded their debut album on the Black Crowes record label. Their country-rock sound is reminiscent of the band, and they've been touring non-stop while playing to sold out clubs across the country.
It's a night of roots rock n' soul you won't want to miss live at AMT!
See you at the show!
