She may be known for her tango and salsa on ABC's Dancing with the Stars, but Julianne Hough is quickly making her mark as a hot new country artist, and AMT welcomes her to its stage.
Julianne has proven her passion for dancing as the winner of two consecutive seasons of Dancing with the Stars, but her real love is music. Julianne released her first single, appropriately named, "Will You Dance with Me" on iTunes and Wal-Mart in 2007. The single cracked the top 100 on the Billboard country charts, and helped Hough score a deal with Universal Music Nashville.
Julianne's self titled debut album reveals her appreciation for country music's roots as well as her fresh-faced contributions to the genre's future.
Also appearing on AMT's stage is another new face to country - Jason Michael Carroll. Carroll got his start in the industry after winning a karaoke contest, sponsored by a pop radio station, and catching the ear of a band losing its singer. Eventually, Carroll signed a record deal and released his first single, "Alyssa Lies," in late 2006.
This is sure to be a fun night with two of country music's top new talents!
