The Platters, featuring original member Herb Reed, responsible for naming and organizing the group, recorded just under 400 songs, have sold over 80 million records, performed in over 91 countries and have received over two hundred and thirty awards from around the world. They are known for the following songs: “Only You,” “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes,” “My Prayer,” “The Great Pretender,” “Twilight Time” and “The Magic Touch.”

Kenny Vance began his musical career by forming the successful group Jay and The Americans, and remained with them for their entire 11-year career. The Planotones were originally formed for the feature film American Hot Wax and were re-formed in 1992.
