Country favorite Vince Gill originally began his career with the group Pure Prairie League. His music and style has mainstream appeal, yet he has always maintained his artistic integrity in the country music world. Through the course of his career, Gill has gained the reputation as a country hitmaker. 1992's I Still Believe in You made him an outright superstar. The title ballad was an enormous hit that became his first number one single, and its follow-up, Don't Let Our Love Start Slippin' Away, also topped the charts. Vince Gill has won more CMA Awards than any performer in history, and at 14, is tied with Chet Atkins for the most Grammys ever by a country artist.
